An interesting theory about the Fibonacci sequence

    I guess, almost everyone knows what is the Fibonacci sequence. So, anyway, the first two Fibonacci numbers are 0 and 1, and each subsequent number is the sum of the previous two.
This results in the following sequence of numbers:
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, ...
    The Fibonacci numbers are interesting in that they occur throughout both nature and art. There is the theory, which says that the Fibonacci spiral could be the "signature" of the Creator. To see more, check out the video below(with Russian subtitles):

just a note

   First of all, I am sorry for being inactive for some time, but there are no any interesting events in my life now. I continue to learn Russian and think about choosing a university to study. It's very cold outside, so I spent all of my free time at home(in Internet, mostly :D). Due to that, I would like to make some reviews of awesome and underrated at the same time music plus some interesting videos and some other stuff. It'll be coming soon :).

Evenings with Kevin Smith.

     I quess this post could be interesting both for Russian and American users.
Everybody knows Kevin Smith(Кевин Смит) as screenwriter, film producer, director and actor. Best recognized by viewers as Silent Bob. But no so many people know that he is very good at story-telling. He participates in long, humorous Q&A sessions that are often filmed for DVD release, beginning with An Evening with Kevin Smith.
    I have found a youtube channel  ( http://www.youtube.com/user/Odinokovyt# )  where you can find these Q&A sessions with russian subtitles. So, I would like to give you advice to check this out. I became a great fun of him after watching these videos. I'm serious :). Below is a fragment from one of sessions, in this passage Kevin Smith tells about his participation in surveying of "Die Hard 4" (Крепкий орешек 4). I must warn there are some swearings.


I have just noticed... pleeeeeease don't pay too much attention to the line which you can see in preview version - it's just a joke about Bruce Willis :DDD.

   As I continue to study the Russian language, I need a piece of advice from russian users. Can anyone advice me some books written in Russian, reading of which could be useful for me? 

Voice Recognition Elevator

     Not so long ago just before my leaving for Russia I was given a special task at the college. I had to make a presentation about some innovation that could become popular in the near future. I hadn't any ideas for a long time, but finally I decided to take the following topic "Voice Recognition Elevator". Such an idea occured to me after watching this video. Check it out. This is really funny stuff! :)

     It was so nice to know that Ray William Johnson had started a new youtube channel. It's called Yourfavoritemartian and it's about a cartoon music band that lives inside his head (as he said :) ). Anyway. it has funny and awesome lyrics, and the sound is pretty awesome, too. 25 hour

     Not so long ago, i saw a movie called '25 hour'. The main character is Montgomery "Monty" Brogan (Edward Norton), a convicted drug dealer who has one last day of freedom before beginning a seven-year prison sentence. The acting is terrific. Edward Norton's perfomamce was just amazing! But But the supporting cast is just as strong.

      This movie made me think about what I would do if I were in his position. How would your parents react if you were going to prison? How would you say bye to your mom or dad? How about your spouse? And your closest friend? What about your dog?

      It is a thoughtful film that is not about one particular thing. It does not try to get in your face with a single message, but has many messages.
Here the one of the best episodes, I've ever seen. I had seen it before watching the movie, and it made me watch the whole thing! Edward Norton is brilliant as always! Check it out!

lovely/lonely

   Such a lovely night! It's so cool outside and i enjoy spending my time at home, listen to wonderful music(check out my previous post) and think about difficult time that I'll have.
   I have known that a movement to another country would cause some troubles to me, and, yeah, now I feel very lonesome. I feel like I was reborn and no one ever knows about my existance. But I hope for the best and I will do my best to make friends here in Russia. And also I hope that this blog will help me in making friends with Russian users. So, just wish me luck. Such a lonely night...

    Tonight I have found a really wonderful song. The band's name is 'Hurts', and the song is called 'The Water'. I can't even begin to describe how awesome it is! I quess, I could say it's just magic. I just can't stop listening.

So much snow!

There is SO MUCH SNOW outside! And everybody acts like everything is alright! Unbelievable! I haven't ever seen so much snow while living in America. So...i suppose that this is one of the main feature of Russian rigorous climate and i have to get used to it! I must learn how to enjoy it, don't I? :) So, wish me luck in this difficult thing :).

Some words about my new home...

So, as I have already said my family and I have moved to the Russian Federation, Ivanovo City, here some information about it from wiki:
Ivanovo (Russian: Ива́ново) is a city and the administrative center of Ivanovo Oblast, Russia. Population: 406,465 (2008); 431,721 (2002 Census); 481,042 (1989 Census).

Ivanovo has traditionally been called the textile capital of Russia. Since most textile workers are women, it has also been known as the "City of Brides". Probably the most famous of the city's female natives was the postmodern French writer Nathalie Sarraute.

It is home to Ivanovo Severny, which is one of the largest military airlift bases in Russia. Civilian air services are provided at Ivanovo Yuzhny Airport.
Ivanovo has several educational institutions: Ivanovo State University, Ivanovo State University of Chemistry and Technology, Ivanovo Medical Academy, Ivanovo Architectural Academy, Ivanovo State Power University(ISPU). University of Chemistry is one of the oldest Universities in the town. It prepares specialists in chemistry.
"City of Brides"...so sweet, i wonder if i could find here my happiness :)
Also, I will have to choose one of enlisted university to continue my education. Maybe, anyone has any recommendations?

Hello...

Hello, my dear friends.
So...this is my new blog. I would like to see here all of my old friends, but the main purpose of this blog is looking for new acquaintances. My family and I have just moved to the Russian Federation. Such a movement is connected with my family business. I would like to make friends with some Russian users. I has been studying Russian really hard during last nine months and I am going to continue my education here. I believe that this blog will help me to make my first steps in direction of international friendship :).
